Have a 2013 Grand Cherokee replaced the thermostat because check engine
light was on Still on after replacing I was told you need to drive for it to recycle
or relearn? If so how long??

If the thermostat (overheating?) was the problem, and you fixed the problem, then check engine light should eventually go off. But if you disconnect the battery for 10 minutes that should reset things. If the light comes back on, have the codes read and see what the problem really is before fixing it.
