2000 Dodge Stratus es, 2.5 ltr V6-, scratching our heads

Car was running great. Hopped in to take off and it sounded like it was missing and had no power. Put new plugs, distrib. cap and rotor, new distributor new fuel pump and filter........still doesn't run correctly. Misses at an idle and when in gear has no power. Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas out there?

Coulb be a possibility that one of the ignition wires got mixed up and has been connected to the wrong spark plug.
