Need to know the name of the part that my caliper and bracket bolts to on 2000 Dodge Stratus

Asked by Twila188 Apr 05, 2015 at 04:38 PM about the 2000 Dodge Stratus SE Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Behind the caliper, there's a 10-12
inch part the bracket and caliper
bolts to. Idk what it is called but
someone told me it is part of the
spindle system. Please help me.
Also if I can't find that pat, can I tap
out the caliper and parts and go
with little longer bolt and get washer
and lock nut and make sure that
these parts are high heat resistance
do you think that will work? Please
respond.

It's the part that goes upwards from the back of the caliper. Can I take a pic and send it to you. If so how do I send the pic.

Yes. please send a pic. Take the picture and save it to your computer, then when you get here, click add photo, and click the browse box, then when you find the pic right click on it then left click 'select' then Post. OK if its this I put in blue

Then it's part #10 here ..all one piece..and left or right..drivers side or passenger side? It runs $414 ..http://www.moparpartsamerica.com/parts/1998/Dodge/Stratus/ES?siteid=214583&vehicleid=70404&diagram=PM95230
