CD drive 2013 impala

Asked by C Mar 23, 2023 at 07:21 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Impala LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After 2013 impala cd drive failed, it was replaced with a brand new drive of the
same model number.  It takes in a disc and will eject it.  But it says there are no
playable tracks on the disc.  Same for homemade mp3 disc and for
commercial cda disc.  How to fix?

I have a 2013 impala that has a CD stuck in the CD player on the factory radio. The radio works great but the CD playing light stays on. I have pushed the eject button probably more than 100 times but the CD will not eject. The CD was stuck inside the radio when I bought the car. Last week I removed the radio and removed the face plate and could see the CD inside the load / eject slot. I was able to grab the CD with a pair of needle nose pliers but could not pull it out. Anyone know a way to remove the CD? The reason I removed the radio last week was to replace it with another radio from a 2009 impala. After swapping them the display on the 2009 radio said LOC which I assume means locked and a code is needed for this radio to work. I reinstalled the radio with the stuck CD since at least I could listen to the radio. Any help removing the CD is appreciated.

This radio just records 2013-15 in the fitment data so it would likely not coordinate to your 2012 Impala but rather what makes it different is that it's been adjusted by us to have Bluetooth music streaming. We probably have the radio you expect without Bluetooth under.
