I have a 1999 dodge caravan and sometimes the heat works when it is set on high temp. and sometimes it doesn't. If I slide it to cold and then back to heat it will intermittently work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd check the blend door actuators and make sure they're okay before going further.
