Selecting a tire size

Asked by davidejjr May 27, 2021 at 09:02 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado LT 2 wheel drive with a 7 foot bed. I just had
the front end leveled. I presently am running Toyo 265/65r18's. I would like to
go a little taller to give the full wheel well look and a little wider, if I can. I want to
be able to turn the tires steering wheel lock to lock, with no scrape. What is the
input?

I would say to turn your wheels all the way in both directions and measure the distance to the nearest part of the fender well. Don't forget the tip of your bumper. a small hit will cause it to gouge the a grove into the tire. Then there is suspension travel to consider... Good luck!
