MAX TIRE SIZE?? - NEED Definitive Answer - 2010 Silverado 1500 4-door LS

Looking for Absolute Max tire size (WITHOUT having to use a leveling kit/RC) that I can
put on my truck -- now has 245/70/17's. I want either 275's or 285's and I've heard many
conflicting stories about what can and cannot fit. I can take care of grinding/cutting if
required. Just don't want to mess with leveling kit. Thanks.

I have been running 285/65 /17's since new on my 2006 Silverado 1500 4x4 crew cab long bed I like Cooper best
