What milage should i Change Trans Fluid

I bought a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab with a 4.8 litter V8 My mechanic says I should change trans fluid at my next service I have put 31,000 miles on my truck since July when I Bought it. I want to make sure that all services are as complete as possible

It's not going to do any harm changing it at 31000K. He's only going to change the tranny fluid in the pan and maybe change the filter. That's only about half of the fluid in the system.
Thank you I was quoted a great deal of money over $125.00 so thank you for your help I thought I might have been mislead by mechanic
For$125.00 you should be getting a complete transmission flush along with a new filter.
