Does the fuel injectors ever need some attention n maintained?

Not really unless there is a misfire. If you change the fuel filter and buy decent gas they should last the life of the car. It would not hurt to add a bottle of fuel system cleaner every oil change. They need attention when the nozzles clog. They need replacement if the electric coil fails.
