Driven Auto Sales in Buda Texas sold us defective car

Asked by Travoo23 Jul 20, 2018 at 01:16 PM about the 2013 Audi Q7 3.0T quattro Premium Plus AWD

Question type: General

Our 2013 Audi  Q7 was purchased at this lot 3/23/2018 by 04/02/2018 the
service light, oil light and brake lights came on prompted us to take the car
up to South Audi of Austin where we were then informed that NO service
had been completed on the car. I ended up forking over 502 dollars for a
service that had never been done on the vehicle. I took multiple trips to the
dealership at Audi between then and the time the car completely stop and
NOW NEEDS A FULL ENGINE REPAIR. The repair cost 16k to fix and is now
more than the loan on the vehicle. Jeff at South Audi informed that the car
was sold to us with a oil consumption issue which led to the engine failure
despite how we took care of the care it was sold to us with a pre existing
issue and the misrepresentation of the car being in good condition with NO
major issues. Jeremy has refused to help. My wife is now 9 months pregnant
due any day with no vehicle to get back and forth to her weekly doctors
appointment and is beyond stress our mentally.  I would think that any
reputable car dealership would want to provide some form of help and not
intentionally try to ruin someone credit, financial future and livelihood. They
HAVE attempted to push it off on someone else and not correct their
oversight. I have  to get a lawyer!!!  Now out of a 7000 dollar down payment
and have a useless loan of 15k on a non running SUV.  I am left to deal with
the economic and mental anguish. Can you help we need assistance as
soon as possible?

I would start with the attorney general's office or Federal Trade Commission. Did you get a look at the history before you purchased it? Usually any repairs needed would have to go back to the dealership you got it from. Go back though your original paperwork, they should of given you a buyer's guide for the used car. It's required for them to be in compliance.
