why does asd pin burn out in pcm grey connector

I am  about to replace pcm as I can not start vehicle and checked to see that at pcm grey connector one of the pins was burnt out and still inside . I pulled it out but since I just bought this truck they replaced the alternator could that have any thing to do with it . I read in another forum a guy had same issue . !999 dodge Dakota slt . I could start vehicle if I put starting fluid in throttle body but gauges did;t work

I'm pretty sure the pin burnt from the pcm as it is common for the soldered connections to break loose, so it wasn't making a good connection to the pcm on that pin.
