Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 dodge durango. I replaced the fuel pump and am getting fuel to
the motor. When I spray started fluid it starts and runs until the starter fluid is

Are the injector(s) firing ? Does the pump have a good ground ? Is the fuel pressure correct ( high enough )? Some vehicles are particular just having it won't do .

The computer needs to know the engine is cranking. It determines that by the crankshaft position sensor. Without a signal from that sensor the injectors won't spray. Hope that helps! Jim
