Yes, these are on the whole pretty decent SUVs. Not heard of any problems like that but you might call the local Dodge dealer and check to see if there are any recalls applicable to the vehicle you have.

My Durango just melted on the highway. Fire started I think from under the hood, don't know where to go with this

I've been around these trucks for years....I've only ever heard of 1 case of an under hood fire....^^^ that guy is the 2nd. I wouldn't worry too much about it

Mine started on fire under the hood less than 3 minutes whole vehicle was enfolded everything was a total loss.

Friday, Feb 5, 2021 my 1998 Dodge Durango caught fire under the hood, while my husband was delivering the mail with it. Before that she was a beast! 357,000 miles, original motor, original tranny, awesome 4 wd. EMS could not get the fire out and it too was a total loss. RIP Durbango ... RIP
