My 98 would run rough, not stall out but act like it was. After a while it would cold start ok but then it wouldn't start after it was hot. It sounded like it wanted to, it would fire intermittently but wouldn't start. I read to pull the negative cable from the battery which resets the PCM board that might fix the problem. I did it and so far it fixed the problem, it starts & runs ok. This might be only temporary but from what I've read this could be from either a faulty cam sensor, anti theft system, or PCM board. Hope it helps.
