Every now and then my car shuts off it doesn't matter the speed I'm going it shuts off and when I try to start it up it cranks and I have to turn off the key a couple of times to get it started.

I heard it could be the fuel pump
going bad

If you are suspecting the fuel pump I think the best way to determine if it is would be to install a fuel oump gauge and when you stall you will be able to see the pressure reading, I hate intermittent problems...good luck
