2013 RAM 1500 Transmission Leak

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just purchased a new 2013 Ram 1500 SLT/Big Horn. On day three the transmission
started leaking fluid. The leak is consistent and it concerns me as I drove it work without
knowing. The truck is so new that I'm worried it's leaked too much fluid and marred the
integrity of the transmission already. How tough are these transmissions and should I be
concerned. Currently I'm not driving it and it's going to the dealer shop to get checked
out. I'm worried that the dealership is not going to be honest on the actual condition
because of it being a warranty issue for them. I may have driven the truck 200+ miles in
this condition without noticing the leak. No messages or alerts have came up yet on the
system in the dash. Just looking how to ease my brain right now. Thoughts?
Suggestions?

Shoulda bought a Chevy! Really though, I wouldn't be too worried about your issue. It must be shifting fine, which means there's still plenty of fluid in it. In reality it doesn't take much oil to make it look like a big leak. I know we've all heard nightmare stories but hopefully your dealership will fix it right. After all if they've been in business any length of time at all and want to stay in business they'll make sure it's right. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine

I'll assume that dodge dealers have improved their customer service since 1989, but have had warranty issues with two different dealers and two separate cars. I wish you luck.
