If old tires passed balance, then you wasted your money buying new ones to resolve vibration issue. I hope for your sake you needed new tires anyhow. As for the shake, take it in to an alignment shop and have the suspension/steering components all checked. Ball joints, tie rod ends, all bushings, sway bar/links - you don't mention any other symptoms or noises so not much to go on. Ask the tire shop you bought the tires from to recommend an alignment service, they may also give you a referral discount.
Forgot to mention, inspect the rotor as well. Take the tire off and spin it by hand, feel for any play in bearing. Make sure nothing is jammed into vents in rotor throwing it off balance. Used to be you could take a rotor in to a place with a brake lathe and get them checked out or even turned down, nowadays it's almost cheaper just to buy new rotors. You may still want to look for a local shop that has a lathe and take your rotors up to them and checked for balance.
