Can I replace the transfer case fluid vs just the transfer case?

Asked by Allena Aug 11, 2020 at 04:46 PM about the 2013 Dodge Durango Citadel AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 durango citadel is needing to have the transfer case replaced. So I've
been told. If I replaced the transfer case fluid will this help?

1 Answer

New fluid is not going to rebuild a worn out or damaged transfer case. Go ahead and spend $50 on fluid if you want to.
