2013 Dodge Durango no bus on odometer

Asked by Tony Aug 23, 2019 at 11:56 AM about the 2013 Dodge Durango R/T AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 Dodge Durango RT is showing
“nobus” on the odometer and none of the
gauges, windows, air, door locks, radio, or
anything else connected to the car are
working but the car is running and drives
normally. It started on a very hot day and
seemed to happen when I went over a bump
and was intermittent on my drive home but
by time I got home it was constant. I thought
maybe a ground problem or loose connection
on one of the harnesses somewhere but am
lost on where to start. It seems there is a lot
of similar problems with older Durango’s but I
can not find any having to do with a 2011 to
2013. I took the dash apart and unplugged
the instrument cluster and the air and radio
came back on. Is it possible the instrument
panel is the problem?

I would be looking at the BCM area it controls door locks of course the IP has its own module so the harness / power supply leading to the BCM/ IP is a good starting point
