Torque converter clutch circuit malfunction

On my OBD2 IAM getting P0741 code indicating
torque converter clutch circuit malfunction what
causes this and why and how can I repair it on my
own

Could be the torque converter solenoid, transmission wiring, gear selector switch or even the computer. None of this a novice can do, best find a good transmission shop and have it check out
