not a question but a comment
I have a 2013 Forester. Massive problems from the get go. Oil consumption
(every oil change I make the service dept aware of), anti freeze smell (every
oil change I make service dept aware of), gone thru three axles, three set of
brakes, back wheel bearings and yesterday heard a humming noise from
back of car and bearings need to be replaced again but real killer is my
head gasket is shot and needs to be replaced. So far this is my 7 th
subaru...last Forester I owned was first year model and massive problems
also with axles and bearings and head gasket too. Current care very high
mileage for 2013 ...127K...first year model got rid of with less than 70K miles
at a loss of 4K. Hoping to keep this 2013 1 1/2 years more but very
concerned with these cars now. I think I may be done with Subaru going
forward. 97% sure I am but I am awaiting an email reply from Subaru
America to see if they will own up to this defective model. Oh by the
way...how many of you have had 18 wheel studs break when you get tires
rotated BY SUBARU techs? In my lifetime I have maybe one with other
cars...this one...18! One toher thing...Subaru if you are listening...get a
better tire with new cars. Origianl tires lasted 36K miles. Replaced them with
a Goodyear model and I still have good tires 90K miles later.
One side not...have owned three legacy models. Loved all three and they
too had high miles and like all of my Subarus I took them religiously to
dealer for everything and they lasted a very long time. Something about
Foresters though that stinks. By the way...have loaner car now for three
days will repairs done and this is a 2015 Legacy and I love the car!
