my automatic, 99 dodge stratus will shift, but when i stop and try to go its a gamble if it is going to shift right again,what does a transpak shift sensor look like?

i did get it checked,and the guy at the dealer said it was my transpak shift sensor,but i don't know where its located or even know what it looked like and i don't have 800 dollars to have them fix it, so if u could help me locate where it is and show a pic. of the part, i would appreciate it, then i could probably be able to change it my self.

Have the dealer give you a print out of the codes to see if you have a input or output speed sensor code. if not you need a solenoid pack which is in the top of the transmission in the front with the eletrical wires going to it.

External on on all 41te gearboxes and about 58.00 at any parthouse except the stealership.

To do self diagnostic turn ignition off and one three times wait odometer will start giving codes.
