Dodge challenger electrical problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, so I have a dodge challenger and for a
while I’ve had no running lights in the rear of the
vehicle. My reverse lights, turn signals and
brake lights worked just fine but no actual lights
while simply driving, so had to avoid driving at
night, I decided to replace the 10 amp fuses to
see if this would resolve the problem in the rear
fuse box and not only did it not fix the problem
but now I have no horn, wipers, blinkers at all,
and my traction control light is on. Any ideas
what’s causing this?

Hi. I don’t have an answer for your question, but would like to share some information with you because your car is on the list of vehicles affected by corrosion. You can look around online for more specific info, but it concerns corrosion on the many vehicles they used aluminum on. Please search NHTSA 31-002-20 Group 31, and/ or Technical Service Bulletin- Aluminum Body Panel Corrosion Repair. Group 31. Because they used, and are continuing to use aluminum, a huge number of vehicles are experiencing galvanic corrosion. It’s most easily seen as paint bubbling around the edges of your hood. Since I found the reason for paint bubbling on our Caravan, I look at vans in parking lots, and the amount of them with this bubbling is amazing. If I see the owner coming, I’ll wait, and tell them. It infuriates me that not only has the company fixed this design defect, but that they haven’t issued a recall. So the only way owners are going to find out is if we share the knowledge. While it’s easy to see on the hood, it affects hinged areas, latches, etc., and affects so many of their products. Our van was past warranty, but they sent us to a shop they outsource the repair to. They knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it, said they do this repair all the time. They did a beautiful job, but neither they nor the dealership would give us any paperwork about the repair.
