"As is" car sells
Asked by Robert Dec 27, 2019 at 12:45 PM about the 2013 Dodge Charger Police RWD
Question type: General
Seen a car on Guru that I liked. I didn't call dealer, just went. Looked at car but bought another one on the lot. I have had it for a week. I am having to replace both tie rods and have the brakes done. Yes, bought As Is, but shouldn't the dealer have checked the car out for safety before selling? I am out another $1200+.

As is means you should check it out before buying.
If they had repaired those things the price would have probably been higher.
Just about every used vehicle is out there for sale for a reason. It's very rare for an owner to trade a vehicle in because they got tired of it. When looking at a used vehicle you should be going into it thinking there's something wrong with it! It's your job to check out the vehicle before you buy. It was offered for sale as is for a reason. Unfortunately you found out that reason after the sale. Let this be a learning experience! Hope that helps! Jim
