engine swap 95 5.2 being put in a 98 dodge dakota

I have a 1998 dodge Dakota 5.2
and my engine blew I was given a
5.2 from a 95 dodge ram will the
engine fit so far I've found the
engine mounts are different and
therea a gap between engine and
trans how do I make this work or
can i

There was a generation change for Dakota in 1997. Older (95) parts may be different. Any time you are installing a different size engine (or from a different model), there will be all kinds of problems. Starting with the motor mounts, exhaust system, Engine Control module, wiring harness, emissions, transmission, etc, etc, etc. This will be an expensive project.
