I don't know if there is an actual fuse for the alternator. is it not charging? it could be the alternator itself, which can be tested. Most alternators have internal voltage regulators that fail. also, on some dodge models the voltage regulation is taken care of in the pcm. bad idea, but that's what they did. you will have to research to see if this is what your vehicle has.

FOR SOME REASON, AND THIS STARTED SATURDAY, I'D I GET A BOOST, I CAN DRIVE IT FINE. IF IT SITS FOR A FEW HOURS, BATTERY IS DEAD. ALTERNATOR IS NEW, ONLY HAD A FEW MONTHS, SO IS BATTERY
Where is the fuse located on a dodge durango for the altanator

ITS IN A BLACK BOX UNDER THE HOOD BY THE BATTERY. ITS BLACK AND IT PLUGS IN. ITS A MEDIUM SIZE.IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A FUSE ON THE INSIDE OF THE TRUCK.PULL IT OUT AND TAKE TO AUTO ZONE,AND THEY WILL HAVE THEM
It is the metal band that runs in the front of the the fuse box under the hood...held in with 2 Phillips head bolts
