How many 1972 Monte Carlos came in factory black?

Question type: General
I have a 1972 Monte Carlo that came from the factory painted black. My parents always told me that they didn't paint them black that year and that they had to special order it. I wanted to find out how true their statement was.

I checked with them again and was told it came from the factory painted black. I do know that the first one they painted, was sent to the wrong dealer and was sold before the mistake was realized, so another one had to be painted black for their order. So if all this is accurate, then I'm assuming that only two were ordered from the factory black that year.
I ordered one in 1972, a Monte Carlo Custom. Black on Black with Black bench seats. Had to wait many weeks for delivery. It was a special order and cost $16.00 extra. Delivered in Chattanooga ,TN at Newton Chevrolet.
Where did the other car go that was ordered black i just might have it
My parents also special ordered black on black '72 Monte Carlo in the Fall of 1971. I truly found it surprising since my father was and always will be a cheapskate. But it was my first car at 16 then my brothers until we sold in 1997 or 1998 LOL
This is what I would like to ask you is it still for sale? What size engine? What size transmission what are the seats contact me if you’d like 727-424-2476 please
