Should you negotiate an already good deal?

Asked by Justme412 Oct 09, 2016 at 09:56 PM about the 2013 BMW 5 Series 528i Sedan RWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

A vehicle newly listed was tagged as a good deal on CG, went and test
drove the vehicle but did not negotiate anything as of yet, as I mentioned I
was still looking. I like this vehicle. Though it is a good deal compared to
the others in the market should I still negotiate some money off the already
good price?

Thanks

Yes - with any negotiation, know your 'walkaway point'. For this purpose, that would be the highest price you are willing to pay. If the car is already priced fairly, and you like the car, that might be the same as the asking price, but it never hurts to ask the seller to lower their price. Worst they can say is no, just don't expect it. It's hard to find a 'good' used car, so if you do, buy it.

No, never beat a dead horse. If you think it's a good deal, go buy it. The seller is happy, and you're happy. Besides, in a hundred years, who's gonna care?
