Ticking sound coming from the dash above the steering wheel.Is there some type of motor in there? This sound goes off after a few minutes. Coming on more often now.

Ticking sound coming from dashboard

A few possibilities exist: 1) A bad body control module (BCM). They can click if bad, and they're tucked up in the dash. 2) A bad HVAC blend or mode door or HVAC control, look up some youtube vids on clicking from these. 3) A bad clock spring, although this clicking would emanate from the steering wheel more than dash. I've personally had a bad BCM making a series of ticking noises from the dash.

Your problem is the air door actuator on the side of the glove box, either stripped teeth or a broken cog shaft. Ossie
