Sounds like you have a air pocket in the cooling system. Raise the front of the vehicle HIGH with a jack/ramps or drive up an incline. This will put the fill location at the highest point and help the air 'burp out of the system. A 'no spill funnel' helps with this and prevents the coolant mess that happens when the level rises before the purge. links for funnel and the tool i use at the shop to prevent this very common problem. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A6AS6LY/ref=oh_aui _search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002SRH5G/ref=oh_au i_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
