1997 Dodge Dakota wont stay on

Alright so I bought this truck from a guy who
swears all was well before. Any who is stalls out
close to home so we pushed it rest of the way
home. I changed the terminals cause one was
cracked. It turned on and after 8 min idling it shuts
off and then it won't turn on... It has a new starter, I
cleaned the carburetor, changed the AIC, fuel pump
relay and new fuel pump... It turns on for a while
and then shuts off after a few minutes and has
trouble staying on... Im at the end of my rope
here... Please any one help.

I'll have to check that. Today It ran for like 5min and stalled out. I left the battery cables off to see if I need to reset the computer. The battery was tested and it is good. Now it seems of gas on top so, Yeah. My dad told me by doing the carb cleaner. I might have dropped the soot onto the spark plugs and i might be losing spark. Could it also be the ignition coil?

I meant to say reeks of gas on top. I'll keep updating and asking as i work on it. I bought a zr8 scan tool to see if it's a sensor but until the cpu recalibrates I wont have any answers. Please anyone let me know any info at all.

Ok so I read somewhere that the Coolant Temperature Sensor can do this. So to test this, I plugged in the Computer on Live Data View... Once I got home it ran again for 8 straight minutes and cut off and Again didn't want to restart, the Temp gauge didn't even move one millimeter and computer read 0 degrees on the Temp. I switched out the sensor and it ran 10min. Shut off but started right up again for 5min. Shut off again and did the exact same thing 2 more times and the last time its stayed on for 45min... It did not shut off... I shut it off to save Fuel. Lol. Basically it cycled and synced up with the PCM... Made it to work without any hiccup. Problem solved me thinks. Thank you for any and all support... I was really losing my head over this, bought the truck off a guy for $1,500 unfortunately spent an extra $400 on parts $380 unnecessarily. But hey now it's running. I'm good to commute to work and haul the stuff i need. Thank you.
