Airconditioner pump kicks on for 10
seconds then it kicks off. Air is not
cold and it won't take Freon. What's
the problem?

Sounds like you have a clogged orifice tube filter the filter is in the high side line of the A.C system this is the small line. You will need a special tool to disconnect the line and the filter is inside of the line.
