2013 VW Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The 12v power outlet stopped working due
to a penny falling into the socket & burning
out the fuse. The fuse has been replaced,
but now none of my car chargers will work
in either of the sockets in my car. The
phone indicates that there is a connection
(the lightning bolt appears on my phone
display next to the battery charging icon)
but it never charges, it just continues to
decrease in battery life the entire time it's
plugged in.

Thank Tom. Neither of my 12v sockets will work though. The one in my front console is the one that had the penny in it. The socket in the back seat has never had anything in it before & it won't charge my phone now either.
