2013 Honda crv, locked. Running, second key fob wont open

The car is running and locked, the second key fob won't
unlock it, the fob doesn't buttons don't work, the key itself
doesn't work in the lock on the driver side door

Same thing happened to us with our CRV locks,Had to call a tow company to unlock the vehicle. Defective. Disappointing, Did you find a solution?
