Try deflating the tires just a little, say, 5psi under what you have now and they will be 'softer' and grab a bit more traction.

How old are your tires? Older tires tend to get hard and can spin easier. Newer tires are softer and get better grip.

Try checking the front wheels, the wheel bearings or brakes may be dragging. Jack it up, the wheels should turn freely by hand.

that is a fact of having a lot of horsepower with no weigh on it. try wider tires. if you deflate your tires, you will cause uneven wear. stock size is 215/75r15. you can fit 235/70r15 on stock 15x6 wheels. I am running 255/60r15 on 15x7 wheels and it grabs better. you have to drive the truck differently than you would a car. in a car, you can jump on it and take off, in a truck you have to roll out first and then get on it.
