Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1996 Dodge Intrepid ES.I changed the hood from the stock steel hood to a fiberglass hood, but the stock hood shocks are to stiff for the fiberglass hood. Are there hood shocks that arent as stiff..maybe for a lighter hood that would work.Any ideas of what I should do to solve this problem?

You could remove the shocks and install a prop-rod setup. Or, you could go to your local auto parts store and try out some different models made for other cars with smaller lighter hoods (or universal ones with different compression rates if available). Just keep in mind that you need to keep them the same length and extension.
