My 96 Dodge Neon has been over heating. I put 50/50 in it an it still over heats. I can drive it a short distance an it starts getting hot. What else can be the problem?

...see you want it to reach operating temperature (half-way on the C-H gauge) before the thermostat opens up...it's not overheating....if the t-stat doesn't open...it's overheating.~ let it get hot 195 degrees, wait....if it does not open up we've got problems...replace the thermostat~
Is the electric cooling fan coming on? You should hear it turn itself on once your temperature gauge reads about halfway or so.
