how does the wiper motor arm connect to the wiper linkage?

It is possible that you simply need to tighten the nut that holds the wiper arms onto the pivot the has splines on it. Most Caravan's used a 10 or 14 millimeter nut to hold the arm onto the wiper pivot, this was done to allow the nut to back off and disengage the wiper arm so as not to strip the splines on both the arm and the pivot if there was a heavy amount of snow that wasn't cleaned off. Lift the cover off the arm where the arm meets the pivot at the base of the windshield. With a 10mm or 14mm wrench or socket, gently loosen the nut, lift the wiper arm and push it back carefully with a small screwdriver. Pry up on the arm where it is attatched to the pivot. It might be tight but don't be too aggressive it will come loose. When you go to reinstall it, make sure the splines are aligned. If you look inside the arm and on the pivot, you'll see raised areas that look like the rumble strips on the highway. There is usually a big spline so the arm can only be put on in one position. Be careful not to strip the splines or you'll be replacing the pivot too. Place the base of the arm on the pivot and align it, lift the arm up and slide it onto the pivot. Make sure you reinstall and tighten the nut, but not too tight.
