where is the speedometer cable located on the transmission

need to check if my speedometer cable needs to be replaced where is it located on the transmission

i dont know about this truck but you may not have one, youcould have a speed sencer. your loc. auto-zone should at least be abel to tell you witch you have and if it is a speed sencer theyand they have one in stock theywould show you what it looks like so as you would have an idea what to look for

Most newer vehicles have wheel speed sensors at all four corners. What makes you think that it may need to be replaced?

Otherwise, you're looking for a small cable coming out of your rear differential.

Yeah the speed sensor is in the rear end not located in the transmission.
