Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1988 Toyota pickup 22r carb model and has been sitting almost a year due to coolant loss through the exhaust. Started it up today for about 5 minutes, cut it off and checked the oil and now  it is a sand color (tan),and about an inch overfull. Had decided head gasket was blown around number 1 spark plug(water on plug)but due to hip replacement surgery not able to take the head off. Still runs great but now i have got this other problem. What has happened everyone????

Sounds like a bad head gasket or cracked cylinder head.

It might be a good idea to run a compression test on it before you tear it back down. Also some engines can put coolant into the oil with a bad intake manifold gasket. Not sure if this is the case with your engine or not.
