88 ford bronco

i have a 88 ford bronco i was having a spark issue i
replace the distributor timed it the truck stared
running and running way better it was left running
for 10 minutes then just shut off i walked over and
started it again it ran for like 1 minute then stopped
again it would fire once of then but would not start
i was told i should replace the computer is that my
problem or it it something else?

I would try and pull codes/communicate with the ECM before spending $$ on replacing it . check for spark and fuel pressure , something else could gone bad by pure coincidence
