1988 ford bronco eddie bauer edition - will occasionally cut off

car starts up ok after a couple of tries in the mornings.  daytime it runs fine.  
tonight it just stopped in the middle of the road and the power steering went
out.  got it to the side of the road.  it started right back up and drove home
just fine.  am wondering y it is cutting off ?  and having a hard time cranking
occasionally?

With out looking at it. I would first look into the ignition mod that is mounted. I think. On the driver side fender just below the hood hing. But their are other things that can cause this. Ignition mod are commen
