*Truck will not crank at all*

Mileage: 69,500

What happened:
-truck shut off while driving down the road
-a little smoke from the engine
-noise under hood for a moment/clicking

What we've fixed/replaced/done:
-replaced battery

Any ideas or advice on what to do? Thanks!

Are all your connections good? Any codes? It could be a solenoid wire coming to your starter

I am having same stuff. 2013 f150 3.5 ecoboost. quit on the Mrs. when she backed out of the driveway. fuel pump works, starter works. (jumped across relay lead in fuse box). get every warning screen in the cab, the wrench, the stabilization, hill descent, oil pressure, water temp, etc. brand new off the shelf battery, alternator, PCM relay, verified all fuses function. might crank 1-second+ then quits and nothing else. any help?
