Oil change light

A while back changed my oil and used the procedure from
this site to reset the light but now I'm creeping up on 4500
miles since last change and it hasn't came back on so
when I used the reset process did it turn it off or reset

Ok thanks is that setting from factory bc I've not found any way to change it in my wife's car there is a menu where can go in and set it to whatever u want in 500 mi intervals but I haven't found a way to that in the truck hence my ? About the light
