Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 Nissan Quest started jerking today when I drive it.  Fine in park but
once I put it in Drive and gas it starts jerking.  If I let off the gas seems to coast
fine.  Immediately went home and parked it.  Has 82,000 miles.

No warning lights have come on. I don't have the device to read codes, getting that from my buddy tonight. Would it be the throttle plate if when in park it reves fine? Now when I put it in reverse it stutters/jerks even barely moving now. Previously it was only when accelerating in drive. Thanks!

Had this happen to me several years ago (different car); turned out to be the catalytic converter. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I had this priblem as well. Mine is a 2005 Nissan Quest. My issues were the crank shaft senors (there are 2) which were $89.99 a piece. Additionally, my gear shift would not release from park position. This was the gear shift sensors _also 2 of them) at $69.99 a puece). The goid news is, you can replace them yourself. You can u-tube the procedure. I am a 59 year old female who is not a mechanic and I did it myself. My car runs great niw.

Mines was doing the same thing thought it was the CVT (continual variable transmission) turns out it was my transmission. Only had the car for a month and it was covered by my warranty and was replaced and now is covered for life by Nissan
