I found a loose plug with wires do you know what this could be?

Question type: General

While replacing my driver side headlight I came across a plug (looked like it should be plugged in to something) it was just laying loose behind the front grill at the bottom. Do you know what this could be?

Can you post a picture of the plug? My first guess would be for fog lights that your vehicle doesn't have. Many times, to cut costs, vehicle manufacturers will use the same wiring harness for vehicles with or without certain options. For example my 93 Caprice had a plug hanging loose near the windshield wiper washer fluid tank. It was for the low fluid level sensor for the fluid monitoring system that my car didn't have. I bought the car brand new by the way so I knew nothing had ever been plugged into it. Hope that helps! Jim
