2011 Crown Victoria LX swap transmission with a 2010 P71?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The transmission went out on my 2011 LX. Pick n Pull had a 2010 Victoria
used as a cab that they said was actually a police car P71). My research
shows that both vehicles have the same 4R75E transmission. Swapped out
2010 tranny but kept the 2011 torque converter and there wasn’t enough
room-the flywheel was jammed tight. Swapped 2010 tranny with 2010
converter but the converter studs to flywheel were in different positions. What
to do?

It’s not going to work even if you get it connected up. Electronically incompatible. Beatupchevy is right you should have rebuilt the stock unit.
Those 2 years a the same as long as your drive shaft is the same (steel or aluminum). Are you sure you had the converter clocked right? Pull your flex plate and check to see if it goes on your converter.
Compare the tags on both transmissions. If they don't match exactly they're different. Jim
