Car starts but in gear it shuts off

If it is an automatic have the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid checked out.

I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra Sr when I put it in gear it cuts off but at first it was jerking what could be the cause of that problem

Ther is a recall on Nissans. I have a 2014 Sentra SV and yesterday, it happened 200 miles away from home. There was no check engine light only jerking and then car cut off. The mechanic was so puzzled by this that he went back to his shop and did some research.

Updating my answer. Nissan dealer said there was no recall. As I checked the NHSA website. Some 2014s have been recalled, but not all. Mine wasn't, but is still under warranty. My jerking and acceleration problem is due to the transmission needing to be replaced.

So have you gotten yours looked at? If so what did they say was the cause? I have a 2014 Sentra and been driving this car for the past 5 years and haven’t had one issue with it until now.....the gear switch and car shut down is happening to me now
