2013 Nissan Armada DVD player sound through speakers

Question type: General
I have a 2013 Nissan Armada with factory installed DVD players in the driver and passenger side headrests. Is there a way to play the sound of the movie through the car speakers while the car is moving? if its a safety feature is there a way around it where I could plug in speakers to the AUX or something along those lines to get the sound to play through that? This is for my child and she doesn't like to wear the wireless headphones. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, on your dash controls should be a button that controls sound. It is a headphone button (a button with a headphone on it sorry). There should be one above the captain's chair on the second row (left side). Try pressing that while the car is turned on.
Thanks for your answer but I do not have a headphone button anywhere on my dash or on the chair. The only headphone icon I have is where the dvd player is on my headrest and its a jack to plug in actual headphones.

Me too exactly the same did u figure out how to make it come through your speakers I have2011 Kia Sorento same issue
It's a safety feature on the car so you cannot play the sound through the speakers. Only when the car is in park and the emergency brake is on. Bummer :(
Yes you can play the sound through the speakers while driving. I have to listen to Shrek almost every time we are in the truck! Lol. The setting has to be placed on the AUX option while the DVD is playing in the headrest A (that's the driver side headrest). It will only play over the speakers from that DVD player.
