I don't mind talking to you. Check voltage to and from brake switch. Maybe there is a fuse in fuse box. Your lower brake lites should be wired through turn signal switch, I believe turn and stop use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. That's all I got at the moment.

I have the same problem. I got a 2001 dodge Dakota slt. I have no brake lights and i still have 12 volts to the brake light switch and at the rear. I have all turn signals, running lights, high beams, fog lights, just no brake lights. Pulled the ground cleaned it with a wire brush and still no brake lights. If anyone could please help it would be very appreciated. I have inspection in a month and it also isn’t safe driving with no brake lights. Thanks

I’ve had that problem on my 99 dakota. It is the abs speed sensor on the rear diff. Change that and it’ll go away

I have a 1990 Dakota Sport (pre OBD) that had the same problem. It turned out to be an intermittent wire short between the Diff and the ABS module.
